We are pleased to offer several new, improvisational, and very easy to play, hand crafted and colorfully painted musical instruments. Most can also be used for reading/playing music. Photos, descriptions and dimensions are provided below. They are ruggedly designed to be used by all ages and for generations to come. Each is a hand-crafted unique piece of 'musical art' and most come with a means of hanging on a wall when they are not in use. They can all be ordered using the Supplemental Order Form.

This little rattley snake friend, about 12 inches in length, comes with three lively jingle bells. It is a perfect rhythm instrument for all ages, and adds a special colorful touch to any musical instrument collection.

This is a perfect beginning improvisational and note reading instrument for all children (and adults have lots of fun with it too). Each bar is imprinted with the letter value of that note, and it comes with a Beginners Songbook which has the letter value of each note shown on the music for really easy melody play.

And like all real songbirds, it is a perfect improvisational music maker as well. Since it only has the bars which fit one Key at a time, it can be played randomly and it naturally creates beautiful music, alone, or along with any music in the same Key.

It is approximately 18 inches in length, comes with two solid maple mallets, and is colorfully painted to resemble a beautiful musical bird friend. There are two extra bars provided so that it can alternatively be played in any one of three Keys - C, F and G.

It can be hung by its strap on any wall (comes with wall hanger) and be displayed as a beautiful piece of 'musical art', or left out on any table to be played randomly and in perfect harmony by anyone just passing by.

SUNFLOWER and CHAMBERED NAUTILUS

These are very unique 12 note chromatic instruments with moveable covers for playing in any Key. These are the perfect improvisational instruments for playing along freely with any piece of music in any Key. The Key Arrow on the moveable cover is simply turned to point at the bar on the instrument corresponding to the Key of the music being accompanied, and automatically the cover blocks out all of the out of Key notes so that you can't make a mistake and play a 'wrong' note.

The smaller soprano Sunflower is 12 inches in diameter, and the larger tenor Chambered Nautilus is 16 inches in diameter. They both come with one mallet and a standard diatonic cover (an optional pentatonic cover is also available). They also come with a simple User's Guide which will teach you how to use the instrument to "UNLOCK the KEY".This is a simple musical game anyone with no musical training can learn to play to figure out what Key any piece of music you are listening to is in so you can play along 'freely' in your own naturally harmonizing way. A great ear training instrument and perfect for nurturing musical creativity - suitable for all ages. Comes with wall hanger for hanging by the strap.

This is a perfect beginning note reading, chording and improvisational harp - like stringed instrument for all ages. It can be played on the lap, or held upright like a conventional harp.

A newly developed patented chord bar makes it extremely easy to play chords. Each string (tuned in the Key of C), is labeled with the letter value of the note for easy melody play, and numbered as well so that it can be used to play simple music traditionally written for the dulcimer.

Each Goldfinch comes with tuning wrench, chord bar, pick, User's Guide and a beginners songbook. It can easily be tuned with any electronic chromatic tuner.

Just like its Mockingbird namesake, this is a multi-versatile beautiful sounding musical instrument. It can be plucked like a harp (with note letters below each string for easy melody reading), easily chorded with its patented chord bar, simply bowed (with no fingerings) at the end of each string (a truly outstanding feature), and improvisationally "hammered" like a hammered dulcimer. This instrument is suitable for anyone aged eight and older.

The Mockingbird is available in three different steel string configurations; bass, tenor and soprano. The tenor version is the most frequently ordered, but for a deep, low, cello like sound, you might consider the bass version, and for a high pitched bowed psaltry-like sound, the soprano version is best (the basic instrument can be re-strung with common guitar strings in any of the above modes).

Each Mockingbird (24 inches in length) comes with bow, rosin, tuning wrench, chord bar, hammering mallet, pick, User's Guide and a beginners songbook. It can easily be tuned in any Key with any electronic chromatic tuner. The bowed sounds this instrument produces are truly amazing, and it is really easy to play, either reading notes, chording, or improvising.

The Nightingale is our most sophisticated musical instrument, and because of its beautiful sound (similar to a 12 stringed guitar), is aptly named. Because of its size, the delicate nature of its chording mechanism, and its preferred playing style (upright, with side laid against one's ear for a truly amazing sound effect), it is more an adult instrument. It can, however, be laid flat on one's lap or a table and be easily chorded by children as well.

Its 12 chord bars are designed so that the instrument can be played either right or left handed. It will play all the major and minor chords in any two adjunct Keys (e.g. C & G, D & A, etc.), and because it has a moveable bridge, can be played in any Key. Extra, optional chord bars can be ordered for dominant 7ths, major 7ths, suspended and other chords as well.

It comes with a User's Guide, tuning wrench, and a complete set of interchangeable chord cards for reading/playing music in all Keys. It can be easily tuned with any chromatic electronic tuner. This is a special ordered, limited production instrument. Please allow up to two months for delivery.
